Reserve Review

After todays victory against Hythe (My first victory against a former club) , I was asked to write a few words for a review, so here goes!

The teams that we have played so far have all been strong, and to be honest , when we saw the fixture list we would probably have taken two draws and a win (5 points) had we been offered it.

We did not have a massive pre season, and to be honest, now - five games together is when we will really start to gel.

I have been very pleased with the attitude of the players, and they are slowly becoming more and more disciplined - This shows as the goals that we conceded have been 2 ogs, and a goalkeeper rush of blood error (sorry Stew).

Things will only get better as we train more and bond closer.

My highlight so far, has been persuading Gary Clarke to join  the club, Gary played for Martin and I at Ashford Reserves 2 years ago, and went on to play 50 plus Ryman games for the nuts and bolts.I fully expect Clarkey to gain legend status here at Culverden!

Yours in Sport,

Mike Robbins
