Stepped up from junior football with his brother Mike in 2007, and established himself in a very capable reserve side. A strong and dependable player, Lord soon found himself captaining the reserves, and having shown continued improvement, was banging on the door of the first team. He moved to Sevenoaks Town briefly before re-joining The Wells in pre-season 2009/10.
