Rusthall 2 - 3 Tun Wells
| Uphill Fight-Back At Jockey Farm |
|---|
Tunbridge Wells certainly gave themselves a pre-season work out, conceding twice before fighting back to win 3-2 at Rusthall. The scores were all-square at the break after Andy Irvine pulled a goal back and then Jack Harris hit a spectacular long-range effort. Into the second period Irvine bagged a second goal for the night to ensure the comeback was complete. “That was another good workout," first team boss Martin Larkin said afterwards. "We saw a good response from letting in a couple of sloppy goals (especially in a local derby), but I thought we controlled the game. We went long when we had to and kept it short at the right times too. We probably should have scored more, but all-in-all I'm happy with another 90 minutes in the legs ahead of the weekend's Courier Cup action at Culverden.” View Liam McAvoy's photos of the game here: http://lsp.photoshelter.com/gallery/2012-07-24-Rusthall-v-Tunbridge-Wells/G0000aZ.Bgxvbehk/C0000TWvp5i7cXIk |
