The Wells under 14 travelled to faversham to play a Whitstable team who were newly formed and entered into the Kent youth south dividsion for the first time this season. The pitch was small and very wet from overnight rain.

Manager Paul Shipley rung the changes for this game which paid off with a comfortable 0-4 win. Astonishingly the half time score was only 0-1, with the post and bar & being hit five times and the opposition goalkeeper blocking another 6 goalward attempts. However it was Max Gilman who opened the scoring with a delightful cheap over the advancing goal keeper.

In the second half goals from Budden, Hinkson and Josh Howitt, his first for the club, put the Wells firmly into the second round and away trip to Bearsted.
