The One That Got Away?

Fisher beat Tunbridge Wells at Champion Hill to lift themselves out of the bottom two in the table, while gridlocking The Wells into their current position of tenth place.

A slow start saw the visitors go two goals down before an Andy McMath penalty before the break reduced the arrears. The second half proved to be a goalless one, sending The Wells packing empty handed.

“We're obviously disappointed with the result - we didn’t start quickly enough, but after their initial onslaught we managed the game well without creating enough chances," summarised first team manager Martin Larkin following the game. "They made it very difficult for us in the second half putting 10-men behind the ball and we didn’t get enough runners beyond the front two.

"You don’t get a better chance to put things right than in the derby so we will go to Sevenoaks on Tuesday night, who themselves are on an excellent run of form, and look for a reaction.”
